Research of Treponema Pallidum through Real Time PCR
ingrandisci gd642.jpg

The research of T.Pallidum is execued by the use of a couple of primers with an high specifity, which define a region of 105 bp in gene polA of T.Pallidum, and they do not cross-reactive with the human genomic DNA, other non pathogenic spirochetes or Treponemi
Deoxytimidine is substituted with deoxyuracile in the mix of dNTPs provided in the Real T-Buffer, allowing the eventual use of Uracil DNA glycosilase (not provided in the device) in order to control the carry over.

The amplification reaction is carried out by a thermostable DNA polymerase with a high half-life characteristic that assure an homogeneous efficiency for the entire analytical process.

info:
Syphilis is a sexual transmitted infection associated with a higher risk of acquisition and transmission of HIV: the World Health Organization estimates that every year there are about 12 millions of new cases in the world.

The T. Pallladium infection is characterized by events with an high clinical activity broken with periods of a-symptomatic and hidden infection, its diagnosis is based on clinical elements, direct revelation of Treponema. P. through dark field microscopy serology and PCR.
